Infrastructure that doesn't page you at 3am.
Fieldstone Systems designs, builds, and hardens the systems underneath your product — so incidents are rare, and the ones that happen are boring.
What's in the rack
Engagements sized like the hardware they replace — small, self-contained, and built to be pulled out cleanly if a better fit comes along.
CI/CD Pipeline Design
Build and deploy paths that fail loudly in staging, never quietly in production.
Kubernetes & Container Platforms
Cluster architecture, right-sizing, and the runbooks nobody got around to writing.
Incident Response Retainer
A pager that rings on our phone first.
Infrastructure Audits
A blunt assessment of what breaks first, and what to fix before it does.
Observability Setup
Metrics, logs, and traces that answer questions instead of raising more of them.
How an engagement runs
Three stages, in order. We don't skip the first one to get to the part that looks like progress.
Discovery
Two weeks reading your architecture diagrams, your postmortems, and your on-call logs — usually in that order of honesty.
Implementation
Changes ship in small, reversible increments. Nothing goes in that can't come back out the same week.
Handover
Documentation your next hire can actually use, and a team that already knows how to run what we built.
A small practice, on purpose
Fieldstone Systems is a three-person infrastructure practice working with engineering teams across Northern Europe. We've spent more nights debugging production than we'd like to admit, and we build accordingly — for the on-call engineer as much as for the roadmap.
We take on a small number of engagements at a time. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so before the first invoice, not after.
